(Vice - Principal)
Mr. Sourav karmakar is the Vice Principal. He is coordinate undergraduate’s programs and actively involved in academic, clinical, administrative and research activities of the department. He worked as a practicing clinical optometrist for a number of years and also having experience in corporate, optical, academic and research field. Mr. Sourav has chosen to grow in the field of teaching, research & development. He completed his fellowship in clinical Optometry from L.V.P.E.I, in the year 2010; Master degree in Optometry from Manipal University. He has 5 years of experience in clinical, teaching and research projects; published 2 research papers, 1 in International Journals & 1 in National Journals. He also presented many more national and international conferences. His key strengths are good communication, presentation skills.
The areas of his research interests are Glaucoma, binocular vision, low vision, contact lens. Apart from his academic interests.
